Kenneth Neakok has just started to work as a teacher aide at Kali School.

In the morning Kenneth works with small groups of about 7 students to support our teachers with large class sizes. In the picture Kenneth is working on reading for fluency with 2nd grade students in their books from the Reach for Reading program.

Substitute Teacher in Point Lay, the week on February
27th with students engaged in mathematics.

Besides working with the 2nd grade students Kenneth takes groups of students from K/1st, 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade and from the 7th/8th grade.

He has an open period in the day where he works with students who need individual one on one attention. Kenneth also helps in the gym and for one period with lunch duty.

On the 17th Kenneth work along with Sara Grist and they put up a bulletin board on the high school side of the building depicting Spring. On the same day Kenneth also helped to copy student work for the Reach for Reading program.

When Kenneth Neakok was in the 4th and 5th grade, I was Kenneth’s classroom teacher. It is wonderful to see how much he and other students that I have taught have grown up to be such responsible adults who are making some very special and important contributions to Kali School and to their community. We are all so happy to have Kenneth Neakok here at Kali School in our endeavors to provide extra support by teaching our students.
