✨️Kali School Families, we have had some amazing experiences this past weekend. Our Collaborators from the USGS Alaska Science Center are here to offer our students experiential learning opportunities. Kali School Alumni, Violet Anniskett, is part of this experience and demonstrating how these experiences can shape futures. During their camping and mission, they encountered an orphan walrus pup. It felt so amazing having the school community be allowed to be part, help when needed, and to aid in the rescue of our little marine friend.✨️

✨️Our 3-6th grade students had a virtual collaborative, field trip, and highly engaging learning experience! They had the opportunity to speak to the Detroit Zoo, check in on Kali (Our Polar Bear), and learn about his current experiences being in a new home🏞. Kali is now 1,530 lbs and approximately 10 ft. tall‼️ It was so amazing to hear the stories from the Native children as they shared what their ancestors have shared with them about Kali.✨️
